Storefront for Dissident Bodies walkthrough | Berlin Biennale
Until November 1, the Berlin Biennale Epilogue (@berlinbiennale) will be open. Curated by María Berríos, Renata Cervetto, Lisette Lagnado and Agustín Pérez Rubio, the exhibition Storefront for Dissident Bodies is presented, which takes place in Daadgalerie and transforms the space into a showcase for queer bodies, dissidents and rebels. Its ready-to-wear architecture for vulnerable movements and its fashion politics overthrows the hyper-sexualized normality of seasonal department store collections. In it, thanks to the collaboration between the National Museum of Fine Arts (@mnbachile), the Copello Family and the AMA Foundation (@famaishere), there is a series of works by the artist Francisco Copello, which honor the artist's legacy and what They present in one of the most relevant stages of the current contemporary scene. Hasta el 1 de Noviembre estará abierto el Epílogo de la Bienal de Berlín (@berlinbiennale). Comisariada por María Berríos , Renata Cervetto , Lisette Lagnado y Agustín Pérez Rubio se presenta la exposición Storefront for Dissident Bodies, que tiene lugar en Daadgalerie y transforma el espacio en un escaparate para cuerpos queer, disidentes y rebeldes. Su arquitectura prêt-à-porter para movimientos vulnerables y sus políticas de moda, derriba la normalidad hiper-sexualizada de las colecciones de temporada de los grandes almacenes. En ella, gracias a la colaboración entre el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (@mnbachile), la Familia Copello y Fundación AMA (@famaishere), se encuentra una serie de obras del artista Francisco Copello, que hacen honor al legado del artista y lo presentan en uno de los escenarios más relevantes de la escena contemporánea actual. Enrique Ramírez is nominated for the Prix Marcel Duchamp
On October 7, the group exhibition that presents the work of the 4 nominees for the Marcel Duchamp Prize was inaugurated at the Pompidou Center, an event that celebrates the most outstanding of the French youth scene. Chilean artist Enrique Ramírez, who currently resides in France, is one of the nominees for one of the most important awards in the art world. Furthermore, 2020 marks the 20th anniversary of the Prix Marcel Duchamp. 20 years, 20 editions, more than 80 nominated artists, around fifty exhibitions organized by ADIAF around the world. For them, the Center Pompidou will offer a selection of works by the winners within a tour dedicated to the National Museum of Modern Art, level 4 starting October 21, 2020. Thus, Ramírez's work addresses the themes of travel, immigration and history in motion through the construction of memory. To do this, it favors installation devices, such as video and photography. El 7 de octubre se inauguró en el Centro Pompidou la exposición colectiva que presenta el trabajo de los 4 nominados al Premio Marcel Duchamp, una instancia que celebra lo más destacado de la escena joven francesa. El artista chileno Enrique Ramírez, quién actualmente reside en Francia, es uno de los nominados a uno de los premios más importantes del mundo del arte. Además, el 2020 marca el 20 aniversario del Prix Marcel Duchamp. 20 años, 20 ediciones, más de 80 artistas nominados, una cincuentena de exposiciones organizadas por ADIAF en todo el mundo. Por ellos, el Centre Pompidou ofrecerá una selección de obras de los galardonados dentro de un recorrido dedicado al Museo Nacional de arte moderno, nivel 4 a partir del 21 de octubre de 2020. Así, la obra de Ramírez aborda los temas del viaje, la inmigración y la historia en movimiento a través de la construcción de la memoria. The presentation at the daadgalerie brings together works by Edgar Calel, Francisco Copello, FCNN – Feminist Collective With No Name (Dina El Kaisy Friemuth/Anita Beikpour), Neda Sanai, Andrés Fernández, Delaine Le Bas, Dana Michel und Tracy Maurice, Naomi Rincón Gallardo, Solvognen (The Sun Chariot) Theater Group, and a work developed especially for the exhibition by a current fellow of the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program Osías Yanov. The DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program is a cooperation partner of the 11th Berlin Biennial and has supported the production of the work „Servicio de Escuchasión“ [Listening Service] by Osías Yanov and Sirenes Errantes. La presentación en la daadgalerie reúne obras de Edgar Calel, Francisco Copello, FCNN - Feminist Collective With No Name (Dina El Kaisy Friemuth/Anita Beikpour), Neda Sanai, Andrés Fernández, Delaine Le Bas, Dana Michel und Tracy Maurice, Naomi Rincón Gallardo, Grupo de Teatro Solvognen (The Sun Chariot) y un trabajo desarrollado especialmente para la exposición por un miembro actual del Programa de Artistas en Berlín del DAAD: Osías Yanov. El Programa DAAD Artists-in-Berlin es socio colaborador de la XI Bienal de Berlín y ha apoyado la producción de la obra Listening Service de Osías Yanov y Sirenes Errantes. En particular, la obra de Francisco Copello está presente en la Bienal gracias a la colaboración de Fundación AMA, el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes y la Familia Copello, quienes presentan una serie de obras que recorren la obra y vida de Copello.
